On February 28, 2023 Sgt. Mark Finley worked his last shift on patrol. Mark will use all of his accumulated time off and officially retire as of June 30, 2023. Mark started working for the borough as a park guard while he attended college and the police academy. He graduated the police academy on December 1992 and was hired as a part-time officer. In 1996 Mark was hired full-time after the retirement of Officer Jack McHugh. In 2007 Mark was promoted to Corporal and in 2018 he was promoted to Sergeant. During his career Mark was the DARE Officer after Chief Robert Adams. Parents he taught still speak highly of him and his efforts with the youth. Council will recognize Mark at the July council meeting. We thank him for his professionalism, his service to the community and hope he enjoys the next chapter in his life.
