The Collingdale Police had two part-time officers resign this week. Officer McKenzie Sperratore who worked here for 5 years resigned to take a full-time job teaching. McKenzie served in several roles with department including as the School Resource Officer. She received dual Master’s Degrees in education and will now be a positive influence on our youth. We wish her the best. Officer Kevin Finn has left and took a full-time job with the West Hazelton Police Department. Kevin was here for two years and we wish him success at his new department. Council approved the hiring of three full-time officers and one part-time officer at the meeting on February 6, 2023. Full-time officers are Joseph Chambers (Folcroft Police), TJ Buckland (Catasauqua Police) and Michael Clark who has served as a part-time officer for Collingdale for two years. Also sworn in was Robert Rockenbach as a part-time officer. Sgt. Mark Finley will be working his last shift on February 28, 2023. He will then burn his vacation and comp time and officially retire on June 30, 2023. One officer is replacing Sgt. Finley and one officer will be assigned to the SRO at Knight Academy and Harris Elementary. The police department would like to thank the Mayor, Council, Borough Manager and the community for their continued support in helping us protect the citizens of Collingdale.
